WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Ayushi Priyadarshini, Student

EIU was very fun. This was my first time doing debate and it was a great experience. I really liked how our instructor Reina explained everything and made sure we understood how to do it. She taught us two types of debate, but I personally really liked the Lincoln Douglas Debate. Overall, I really enjoyed these classes.

Rashmita Patra, Parent

I like the way you are teaching, keep engaging and supporting the kids, especially on argument short 1 min debate and giving immediate feedback, tongue-twisting for warm-up. For Ayushi this is totally new and a good experience. I also like the essay writing on speeches that will help her with critical thinking. Hope you continue this program in the future to discuss more topics that will help Ayushi before she enters high school and communicates in an ineffective way. You are doing great. Thank you.

Aryan Jain, Student

I really learned a LOT from EIU, and I learned what an LD debate is, what fracking is, and loved making creative arguments! I really enjoyed and the drills were really effective. I think that this was a really helpful thing!

CS @ EIU

Aidan Liu, Student

I really enjoyed this class and learning so much about debate, and my favorite part of these sessions were giving the speeches I wrote, and receiving fantastic critique from my teacher. I learned the format of a debate as well as some tricks to do before giving a speech to help enunciation and delivery.

Aiden, Student

I enjoyed going to this class, and I have had so much fun learning about Java, and this class has expanded my coding knowledge a lot.

Vishnu Bharadwaj, Student

I was terrible at debate. But during this class, I learned a lot and now I am decent. Also, the fact that it was free was great. P.S. If I am on the website, ✌️

Venkat Krishnan, Student

I enjoyed a lot and learnt a lot to like cross ex and rebuttal speeches. I liked when you corrected us so we get more points the next time. I also learnt that you have to also defend your speeches and back them up.

Ramakrishnan Warrier, Parent

We have been very impressed on how you are teaching the kids, and how well the kids are learning. We could see Venkat using some of the tips just during our dinner table discussions also by bringing more facts to supporting his points.

Prakruti, Student

I had a great time and I looked forward to this class every Wednesday. Manasvi was a great teacher and I'm sad to say good bye, She made a slide for each class and taught every kid in this class whether they had experience or not she let them learn at their pace, and now everyone in this class has the basics down. Thank you so much Manasvi and the team at E.I.U.

We would love to hear from you
